Science

We follow Super Science, a programme of learning that aims to nurture an investigative and inquisitive mindset for our young learners. By providing opportunities for children to improve their scientific knowledge, they are able to develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Through the use of Launchpads and Pods Papers we focus on active hands on learning and consolidate this through regular investigations. Pupils learn a wide range of vocabulary and methodology and apply science to real life scenarios, thus making the whole curriculum extremely relevant and practical.

British Science Week is celebrated every year with a range lessons and activities across the school, often with visitors and other exciting opportunities along with wider activities including the RSPB's Big Bird Watch. Children also have the opportunity to visit the Science Museum in London to further their experience.
