Music

At Drapers’ Pyrgo Primary School, music is an integral part of our learning journey. From Nursery to Year 6, children explore and develop their understanding of dynamics, duration, and timbre using both tuned and untuned instruments. They also learn to express themselves musically in response to visual stimuli.

Each music lesson begins with vocal and physical warm-ups, as well as focus-building activities, setting the stage for engaging and purposeful learning. Our structured programme includes short exercises in rhythm, beat, and pitch, ensuring a well-rounded musical experience for all pupils.
